G Mixolydian B6
G · A · B · C · D · E♭ · F
The fifth mode of melodic minor, G Mixolydian B6 is a Mixolydian scale with a flattened sixth — dominant in character but with a distinctly darker top end. It's the natural choice for a dominant chord resolving to a minor tonic, and it turns up in flamenco-tinged rock and film music as well as jazz.
