G♯ Melodic Minor
G♯ · A♯ · B · C♯ · D♯ · E♯ · F♯♯
G♯ Melodic Minor raises both the sixth and seventh of the natural minor, so it's a major scale with a flattened third and nothing else changed. That combination of a minor tonic with a leading tone makes it sound sophisticated rather than sad, and its seven modes supply most of modern jazz harmony. Classical players traditionally use it ascending only.
