G♯ Kumoijoshi

A traditional Japanese koto tuning, G♯ Kumoijoshi takes the root, flat second, fourth, fifth, and flat sixth. Those two semitone steps give it an immediately recognisable, austere character used throughout Japanese folk music and evoked constantly in film and game soundtracks. Very effective on guitar with open, ringing voicings.
