G♯ Double Harmonic Major

G♯ · A · B♯ · C♯ · D♯ · E · F♯♯
Often called the gypsy or Byzantine scale, G♯ Double Harmonic Major has a flat second, major third, flat sixth, and major seventh, producing two augmented seconds — one at each end. That symmetry gives it an intensely ornate, Middle Eastern character. Widely used in Balkan, Arabic, and Jewish music, and popular with metal guitarists.
