A six-note scale built from the root, second, fourth, fifth, sixth, and flat seventh, F♯ Piongio has no third at all, leaving it suspended and open. That makes it a natural fit over sus chords and static modal vamps, where its lack of a third avoids committing to major or minor. Gentle and easy to use.
