D♯ Hirajoshi
D♯ · E♯ · F♯ · A♯ · B
One of the best-known Japanese pentatonics, D♯ Hirajoshi uses the root, second, minor third, fifth, and flat sixth. The gap between the flat sixth and the root, and the semitone in the middle, give it a spare, contemplative sound. A favourite of guitarists looking for something exotic that's still only five notes to learn.
Left-handed
