C Minor Six Pentatonic replaces the flat seventh of the minor pentatonic with a major sixth, giving a five-note summary of the Dorian mode. That major sixth brightens the scale noticeably, making it a great fit over minor seventh and minor six chords in funk, jazz, and soul. A small change with a big effect on the mood.
