A Neapolitan Major

A · B♭ · C · D · E · F♯ · G♯
A Neapolitan Major is a melodic minor scale with a flattened second — minor third, natural sixth and seventh, but that Neapolitan semitone at the bottom. It's a classical scale by origin, used where a minor key needs an unexpectedly dark opening step. Jazz players treat it as a source of unusual altered sounds.
